Women's Football
The Googong Hogs had the vision of entering a women’s football team in the ACT/NSW AFL Competition for season 2023. We were lucky enough to achieve this and were proud to field a team. However the newly formed Hogs Women's team weren't satisfied with just making up the numbers winning their first ever game and only improving from here to make it all the way to the Grand Final. In an unbelievable achievement for this new team and the club as a whole they went on to win, claiming the 2023 Community Women's Division 1 premiership!
More importantly this new team was able to create a welcoming, fun and inclusive environment slotting right in with the existing Men's teams. Creating lifelong friendships and connections like only community sport can.
After this successful season the Women's team is looking to continue to grow and welcome more players, supporters and fans to the Hogs family. Everyone is welcome with no prior experience needed, many of our players this year had never played AFL before and were able to pick it up and learn the sport we all love.
So if you want to try out AFL, make new friends, stay fit, push yourself and have fun join the Hogs!

Mens Football
The Googong Hogs have senior men's teams in both Community 1st and 2nd grade and are always looking for more players to join us. We have players from all ages and skill levels so you won't be left behind if you are new to football.
The hogs have been seeing more and more success on and off the field over the previous few years, Even being named the AFL Canberra 'Community Club of the year 2022'. The future looks bright for our teams and we would love to have you be part of this future.
The Men's 1st grade team have also just appointed Kane Cawse as head coach. With his wealth of football knowledge and experience its a great time to join this group that are keen to become more and more successful!
The Hogs are also a very social club with many events throughout the year like, Trivia night and the famous Hogs Race Night. If you are looking to make some new mates, get fit and have fun? Well then the Hogs are the team for you!
2024 Pre season Trainings!
The Hogs will be starting pre-season trainings on the 30th of January. Training starts at 6pm every Tuesday and Thursday night. Keep an eye on our social pages (Facebook & Instagram) for updates.
Absolutely no experience is required and we welcome anybody and everybody to come and give footy a go.
If you are interested, you can either fill in an expression of interest form or simply rock up to Rockley Oval at 6.00pm on Thursday nights when trainings start.
Sessions will focus on both skills, fitness and creating strong team bonds. We understand that work and other real life things get in the way of training. We completely understand if you are late to a session or can only make it rarely. We still encourage you to come along, we would love to have you there!
